STORMBRINGER IV

Venue: Blues, Guwahati

Date: June 3rd, 2012

Well, I was eagerly waiting for Spirit Underground &Rock a Rolla Presents

STORMBRINGER IV” as the mighty NOISEWARE was going to strike at Blues.

These guys were the band that got me into the genre I like, in fact it was like a wish come true as I considered myself a great fan of them.

The event started with a gripping act by “Samiran Sonowal” from Surat. It was a good heat up act as their music sounded quite inventive. I really liked the dexterity on vocals. I would have loved to hear more.

Next up were Fall Of Romeo-a techno hardcore act from Guwahati. They played a good trance stuff accompanied by heavy riffs, which were all right, but somehow, one could make out that they were a new band and were not confident about themselves. I won’t criticize as they tried something new.

Up next was Bolt from The Blues,a funk/Blues band from Halflong/Guwahati changed the atmosphere. I would say one must keep such an act at every show. They played a complete funk set with a little jazz feel.

The next band to descend upon the stage was Dark Carnage. The little town boys nailed the show with their originals and a cover. This band gave a start to what I was really waiting to watch for.

Coming to the last act of the event, NOISEWARE was a complete blast. With their complete set of originals, heavy guitar riffs, flawless drumming they were quite brilliant. The absolute intensity and pure, raw aggression of the band set fire to the stage. The crowd was stunned at their level of playing and they got a great response.

With 100+ people attending the show, it was a big turnout for a Guwahati gig.

Talking about the sound, Fall OF Romeo suffered tribulations as much I heard.

I can proudly say that things surely are changing in Guwahati. A notable mention to the event partners and media partners.
