Yesterday evening, Alcoa (feat. Derek Archambault, vocalist of Defeater) played an intimate show at the Bridge Nine Records office in North Shore Massachusetts. This exclusive show was limited to about 50 people, and the band played songs off of their debut full-length Bone & Marrow, which hits stores next week from Bridge Nine Records. Check out a song from Alcoa’s set last night here.
Bone & Marrow features eleven pop/country-tinged songs about life, love and regret. Also prevalent on the album is the addition of instrumentation like upright bass, banjo, fiddle, pedal steel, piano/organ, and charming guy/girl dueling vocals (featuring Archambault’s fiance Alyssa Eygnor), making it Alcoa’s most complete and mature effort to date. Check out two songs from Bone & Marrow here before its release next Tuesday.
