Wacken Open Air‘s Metal Battle India has just announced the winners.
The winners will perform at 4 venues across the country before performing at the Bangalore Open Air. And the 4 finalists from shortlisted bands will get a chance to perform at Bangalore Open Air on June 16th which will be headlined by legendary thrash metal band KREATOR and American legends ICED EARTH.
One of the winners from B.O.A will get a chance to perform at W.O.A in Germany.
Shortlisted Bands for Metal Battle India are :
South Zone – Tiffin Box , Crypted , Timiraah , Neolithic Silence
North Zone – Dementia , Arcane Deception , Phobia , Wasted Soul
East Zone – Scarface , Devoid of dreams, Dark Carnage , Damage(ERA)
West Zone – Zygnema , Providence , Chaoskampf , Dionysian
The Shortlisted bands were selected by Salman U. Syed (Promoter Wacken Metal Battle India & Bangalore Open Air Festival), Praful Menon (Millennium), Nolan Lewis (Kryptos) and Rajeev M (Metal VJ/DJ)
The regional venues and dates for selecting the 4 finalists are :
East Zone: 25th May 2012 – Guwahati
South Zone: 10th June 2012 – Bangalore
North Zone: 27th May 2012 – New Delhi
West Zone: 3rd June 2012 – Mumbai
National Finals: 16th June 2012 – Bangalore Open Air
