12th Tele Cine Awards Kolkata 2012 – Kalpana Patowary nominated -BEST PLAYBACK SINGER FEMALE.

The lady who, “Akhomiya”, is from Assam but became Bhojpuri’s first music empress (BHOJPURI QUEEN). 22 languages into her solo career, Kalpana Patowary remains tough to pigeonhole. Her long and eventful musical journey has been dotted with several captivating musical memories. Kalpana booms. From Assamese to English to Hindi to Bhojpuri to Marathi and then to Bengali…….the versatile and one of the best – selling female artist of all times in India. She has got great knowledge and all the potential for different styles of singing in any Indian languages.

 And finally another huge one into Kalpana Patowary’s Career. This year she has been nominated for BEST PLAYBACK SINGER FEMALE in the 12th TELE CINE AWARDS – Kolkata 2012, for the much talked about Bengali chartbuster & most hit item song “Koka Kola” produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, from film Faande Poriya Boga Kanande.*

This song “Koka Kola” generated ample curiosity, among fans and music lovers, there’s no denying this. With all its pomp and pizzazz, enjoyable, catchy that makes one tap feet along with it, a fun celebration track with a naughty appeal to it, this track was an instant hit. The moment Kalpana Patowary goes ‘Koka Kola’ it’s a live wire and makes one head straight for the dance floor. This song became Bengal’s most popular number. This song was heard in every nook and corner of the Bengali dominated regions and finds a repeat hearing all over again with a huge digital download hit.

This award function will be held in SCIENCE CITY AUDITORIUM, KOLKATA on 7th APRIL 2012.

 

TELE CINE AWARDS – the biggest and the most prestigious awards of Bengal, dreams to highlight and convey reorganization to the Bengali Film and Television Industry. This was the first award ceremony which highlighted the Bengali Industry in its changing scenario and the rest followed its footsteps.
