BASICK RECORDS, The UK and Europe’s fastest rising Metal label have announced that their releases will now be available to purchase throughout India via the new NH7.in platform on the Flipkart.com website.
In a landmark move, NH7.in, a platform to discover independent music and leading-edge culture created by Only Much Louder (OML), has partnered with Flipkart.com to create an exclusive section dedicated to independent music on the Flipkart digital music store, Flyte. The store will enable independent artists across the country to sell their music digitally to their fans.
Basick Records CEO Nathan Phillips commented on the expansion: “NH7 and Flipkart are proven experts in the Indian music market; thanks to their unparalleled local knowledge they will provide a world-class service for the distribution of Basick’s artists across the region. This agreement is a great way of introducing our bands to new markets and fans, as well as being another step in our evolution towards making our music available as widely as possible around the world. Indian fans of progressive music have always been supportive of what we do at Basick and it’s great to finally be taking our music right to their door.”
Indian progressive metallers Skyharbor signed to Basick in 2011 and are amongst the first of Basick’s artists to have their tracks available on the site. Guitarist Keshav Dhar adds: “For our home fans in India – we’re delighted to finally be getting our products available on Flipkart.com for you guys. We have been trying very hard to set this up for a while now, and things are finally about to fall into place! Stay tuned for updates on CDs and merchandise! The NH7.in section features artists across many genres and languages. The store launches with 50 artists including many from the current Basick roster and back catalogue including – Skyharbor, Chimp Spanner, Uneven Structure, Ion Dissonance, Visions, No Consequence, My Minds Weapon and Between The Screams with more to be added soon.
