Forkaal is Guwahati’s very own and North East India’s first concept based Music Festival scheduled to be held on 23-24 September, 2017 at the Veterinary Ground, Khanapara. The festival will feature Polish metal giants Vader as the headlining act on 23rd September, which the organizers have mentioned as the Dark Night. People will also get to witness Demonic Resurrection(Mumbai), Kryptos(Bengaluru) and What Escapes Me(Kolkatta) besides Guwahati’s very own Dark Carnage on the Dark Night of Forkaal.
24th September, named as the Clear Sky Night, will feature hard rock giants Girish & The Chronicles accompanied by Post-rock outfit Aswekeepsearching. The other bands mesmerizing the crowd will be Lands(previously known as Nicholson), Dosser’s Urge, Polar Lights and Fellow Swimmers.
‘Forkaal’ is an Assamese word used to describe the clear sky after rain and thunder. According to the organizers, Forkaal Music Festival showcases an individual’s encounter with his/her own darkness and his/her journey beyond searching an escape.
Forkaal Music Festival is the second installment of LA Void Trilogy after ‘Through My Mind’, which was a huge success .The organizers have built a strong story format and divided into three installments.
Tickets for the festival are available at www.allevents.in, with day passes for INR 700 and season passes for INR 1000. The organizers seek support from the people and aspire to expand the festival to other states as well.
